If Cole is rocked

What do we do if Cole is rocked early? What is the natural order of who would come in to relieve?

After LSU scored only 1 run last night I just have a bad feeling.

In this order:

Ruffin, Workman, Wood. If that's not good for 9 innings, we've got real trouble.

Also, I would love to see Shinaberry come in to throw against a lefty or 2, since this is his last shot.

I imagine Ruffin might be more ready to go in relief than people think. In game 1 it seemed as though he felt fine but got yanked due to cramps. Anyone got a pitch count on Ruffin from Monday?

I have no idea about Cole. I liked the match up with Workman, he has crazy heat but once we got his timing, we started to connect. Ruffin scares the hell out of me so I hope we go without seeing him at all.

If Cole gets into trouble, I think we would see Austin Wood before we see Ruffin just because of all the lefties. Ruffin has a closer mentality, and you know if he's out there with the national title on the line, he will be nails. They don't make 'em more competitive than that guy.

As for LSU, we will definitely see Louis Coleman at some point. Ranaudo rarely pitches more than 6 innings. High strike-out guy but always seems to have pretty high pitch counts. Coleman has been a reliever for Ranaudo all year, so I would not be at all surprised if Mainieri's strategy is 6 from Ranaudo, 2 from Coleman, and 1 from Matty Ott. Hopefully we make that an impossibility by getting to Ranaudo early and not having to bat in the 9th.

I expect Ranaudo to get at least 5 innings unless he is just off. Then they'll throw Coleman, potentially Bertuccini. Ott will be the last guy they put on the mound. if they bring him out in the 7th, it likely means they are losing.
