If aggy can recruit with Texas

As the marble mouth jackass proclaimed on national tv, just wondering how many players they had in the game last night?

A&M will be able to recruit based on their success but the SEC may help out. I think now that the Aggies are in a different league, some of those 4 stars that would pass them up because they were at the bottom of the barrel in the Big 12 may reconsider and choose A&M because they are in the SEC. Its all going to be based on how they perform. If they continue to lose... well enough said... but there will be those kids who believe they can be what gets them over the hump.

The next 4 years are going to be tough on the Aggies. Rebuilding all around is not good for winning fast.

Stephen McGee said it best, he wanted to play in front of his family and friends as much as possible.

When he was at AM, he played 9-10 games within easy reach of family and friends.

In the SEC, he is only going to get to play 6-7 games where it will be easy for them to get too.

I think the proximity of your conference plays a huge part in the recruiting of kids. I also believe this was one of the main and primary reasons for Texas staying put and anchoring the Big XII.

My biggest worry is that ATM will have to play "the game" now that they're in the SEC. This may hurt Texas in the short term; however, the ultimate payback would be if Texas exposed ATM and, thus, the SEC and brought the whole conference down. God that would be funny.

Let's put it this way,

Texas vs. OU on ABC at 2:30 or AM vs. LSU on CBS

Which one gets better ratings in Texas?

Hands down no brainer. That is the best they could do.

Texas vs. Kansas on ABC heads up with AM vs. LSU on CBS?

I think AM wins the Texas ratings but not by much.

If aggy didn't think they were still an all-male military school, if they didn't treasure nut squeezing as team support, if they didn't embrace poop tossing on opponents' bands, and if they didn't pull swords on other teams' cheerleaders...they would be considered somewhat normal. Or maybe not.
