Syesha...very nice, and looking good, too.

Brooke...wtf.

Aggy...meh. Not bad.

Archuletta...aggy was way better. Seriously. What does anyone see in this kid?

Carly...her best yet, imho. I actually listened to most of it.

Cook...meh. Pretty good, but boring song.


Top 3: Syesha, Cook, Carly (nobody was amazing)

Going home: Brooke.
 
I actually thought Syesha was really, really good. That was a good look for her and she had a great stage presence. She nailed the song, too.

Brooke was bad but the dreadlocked Aggy was worse.

Everyone else was pretty average.
 
I missed Syesha and Castro and the first half of Brooke.

I thought Archuletta was good, but picked a ****** song.

Brooke is going home.

Carly was good and it's a good song for her, but what's up with the sound mixers there at AI? Simon said it got 'shouty' in the middle, and I agree, but I think that's mostly because the back up vocal mikes were WAY too loud and I'm sure Carly was just trying to hear herself. It's not like she has a tiny voice. I've never been impressed with the sound crew at AI. The show is about music, maybe they should get some guys in there who know how to mix the sound.

David Cook should win this show.
 
According to dialidol it might be Carly. But what an overall boring show. Who ever thought ALW would be a good theme?

Syesha, best this time.

Cook's wasn't so amazing in and of itself, except he showed he can sing very well in a totally different way than already shown, which was impressive.

It wasn't that David A was bad; it was really okay. But, this was the one week he had a chance to do something great, and it was only okay.

Brooke: sorry, but unprofessional. The post on here last week about hearing a gunshot backstage after she gets eliminated... I laughed, but now I wonder!

Aggie dude was really pretty good. The judges seem to deliberately put a damper on him. Wasn't a good format overall for him, though.
 
I thought Syesha was amazing.

Cook and Carly were very good.

Little David was Ok

Brooke was terrible

Aggy was ******* horrendous
 
Nice to see Syesha getting some love on here. I think she's been very good throughout and getting stronger each week, which is a mark of a winner.

I didn't buy into Cook early on, but he's definitely for real. To me, these are your two finalists.
 
Cook is the only one who will have a decent career, but I don't think he will win. I hate Syesha for some reason. She thinks she is much better than she actually is. Her voice has no depth.
 
OK, Aggy was terrible. I think that was one of the worst performances at the stage of the game that I have seen. It was the definition of a trainwreck. He has a nice voice, but picked the absolute worst song he could have picked. And, his not knowing that Memory was sung by a cat.....really? I know you weren't born when Cats was a hit, but did you spend 30 seconds looking into the background of the song?

Brooke was next worst. Again, not a good song choice and starting over was just bad. She probably does not have the votes to make it through. Ditto on not spending any time looking into the context of the song. Weber had to tell her what it was about.

David A was ok and gets points for at least doing something different with a song. Cook was also ok and gets points for showing some versatility and that he can just plain sing. I wonder if his fan group will respond in a positive way to his revelation that he was into musical theater. Does that damage his rocker image?

Carly and Syesha were the two standouts. Both nailed it and picked good songs. Syesha gets the overall win for the acting and the performance.
 
David Archuleta really, really sucks as a potential "American Idol". He can be a great Disney character, but he's no f'ing star.
 
Syesha...VERY good...she is my favorite.

Brooke...Ooops...probably gone.

Aggy...average...not bad though

Archuletta...Say what y'all want, but I thought he was AWESOME last night...of course, that is one of my favorite songs and I thought he did very well.

Carly...She has a good voice, but I thought she destroyed that song. I don't think she sounded good at all.

Cook...Awesome, awesome performance. Unless you are familiar with Phantom of the Oprah, you have no appreciation for how hard that song was and how well he did.
 
Top to Bottom for this week:

Sayesha This is her best performance yet. She nailed the song and the performance.

Cook Absolutely surprised at his ability to do well with the depth of emotion on that song. This guy is the 'rocker' of the bunch and he did a tender show song. He is still in for sure.

Archeletta He did a good job. This is his element. He does this type of song well. He was competent, and this week that should be enough to get him through

Carly - I can't wait to see her go quite honestly. She is the most over rated person I have even seen on Idol. She didn't sing the song correctly. I couldn't even listen to the song all the way through.

Brooke- Let me say that I am a Brooke fan, but she was horrid this week and deserves to go home. The way she started the song made me feel sorry for her, but if she doesn't go this week, she should go next week. I do love her voice though. She is a folk singer more than an American Idol though.

Jason- I would rather listen to my 6 week old daughter cry at the top of her lungs. I can't wait to see him gone.
 
I gotta say I like Syesha, but really she does nothing for me. She is exactly like every other black female singer who has ever been on the show. great voice, but nothing stands out from the other 50 girls just like her who have been on. Kinda boring really.

Archeletta is just not good. Yeah he can sing all right, but he is better off in the Clay Aiken broadway type thing. Pop Idol he is not. He might win, but he still sucks in this genre.

the other girls do nothing for me really. Aggy might have a nice career as a John Denver, hippy, folksy, bar singer dude. Not a pop idol.

David Cook will have a nice career in pop/rock music no matter what happens on this show. He can get kicked off tonight and he will sell more records than all the others combined.

Brooke in the top 3 and Syesha in the bottom 2.

The voting is so screwed up, esp in later weeks like this.

I'm thinkin' if the idea were to vote off the worst performer, Brooke wouldn't have been even close to the top 3, and Syesha would have cruised thru.
 
didn't see either the show or the results show, but I would not think today's climate as a good time to sing JC superstar. A religious song, yes. A song questioning JC's diviinty? No. While many people can understand the meaning of the song, most of them are not Idol voters.
 
The worst part of the show is that it allows the American people to control all the voting. It's already been established that the American people will vote for the damndest things. Proof of that was George Bush on "Idol" itself.

The two worst this past week were Brooke and the dreadlocked Aggy. It wasn't even close. Even Andrew Lloyd Webber threw the Ag under the bus. The two best were Carly and Syesha. It wasn't even close.

The judges should have some amount of influence over the vothing.

You have to be thinking the American Idol suits are praying not to be saddled with either the dreadlocked Aggy or David A as the winner. Combined they'd sell about 12 records.

Take that **** to the WestMall board. That's what it is there for.

As for the show...I was happy that the Irish skank was gone. Now, if they can just get rid of aggy and the smurf....

Bush and American Idol are very similar. The American people, despite what they say, never vote for the smartest, brightest, or most talented. They vote for the person they feel best about and like the most.

I couldn't stand Carly and I for one am glad she is gone. I also think that one of the hardest things about Idol is the way that the song base changes so much each week. I think this is why some people had so much praise for David Cook, because this week figured to be a weak moment for him as he isn't a broadway kinda guy at all.
I love Brooke and admit she should have been in the bottom 2 last night along with the Ag. She didn't do a good job. She is good though, but as a folk type singer. She goes back to sitting at the piano and doing some 70s folk stuff and she is magical. So don't think that this is just about talent, it is about a certain talent. Clay Aiken has clearly had a more successful career than Rueben Studdard. The same can be said about Daughtry and whoever won the year he was on (It was that dude with the grey hair right?)
The show is just a show.
 
The themes this year have sucked. I thought the Aggy was done. I was happy to see the irish chick gone though.
