In this WaPo article they give Chu 3 pinnochios for claims he made that other companies that got stimulus money will provide energy for 3 million homes and displace 300 mil gals of gas a year.The Link
so whose numbers are correct?
Why would we think chu is correct when he admits he didn't know solyndra had problems?

and now we find out ANOTHER company that chu loaned our money to has filed bankruptcy costing us more millions.Beacon Power

Then we move to Holder who claims he didn't read memos sent to him that warned of the problems with Fast and Furious.

I can't remember an admin with so many incompetent people who have failed at the responsibility given them.

yes I am sure obamites can come on and post problems with the Bush Admin . but Bush is not in power and these problems are happening now
It is pretty silly to try to use the argument that well Bush did it too as if that excuses what these people are doing now.
 
Obama and his administration committed themselves to green energy companies regardless og the business model and knowing they would fail just like Bush was committed to his nation building activites in Iraq and Afghanistan. Both ludicrous propositions. On the bright side, at least our oil ompanies got the contracts in Iraq.
 
No doubt there are mistakes in every admin. this one is the current one and now going forward is our concern. Hoefully we have learned from the past and have learned to demand accountability now when it can mitigate crap like this.

let's see 80% of the DOE's 1705 Loan guarantee program went to BO cronies.
I am shocked. I remember how long and koudly the Bush haters on here screamed about halliburton and their no bid contract even though clinton had also given Halliburton no bid contracts.

Now we found out that in addition to the billions given Bo cronies under DOE he also gave a no bid for BILLIONS for a drug that may not work for a need that may never arise.
He has to be stopped.

If there can be only one nation, then the government must be as decentralized as possible. This is why the Founders se up a decentralized government. It is the only way to defy and defang the monopoly and eventual abuse of a centralized government's overlords.

We forgot and lost Liberty in a century long blind rush across the field of compassion, over the cliff of progress and into a seething sea of socialism.
 
It would be nice if those on the left would just acknowledge how tremendously corrupt and criminal the current administration is without bringing up Bush. We get it. Bush sucked. I wasn't his biggest fan either. That doesn't excuse today's cronyism and corruption.
 
They are not idiots. They are corrupt individuals in a system that rewards short term performance not unlike corporate America. Unfortunately most Americans truly are idiots, lazy ones at that. America's best days may be behind her. Watching the OWS morons does not inspire confidence in the future.
 
What is also ironic is that upward social mobility and greater wealth distribution is strongly inhibited by progressive policies specifically a progressive income tax. It is the middle class trying to accumulate wealth that is punished.
