Idiotic TABC cuts off consumers from non TX wine

Sickens me that our state Leg and TABC restricts we the consumer to who they "approve" to sell in TX.

I'm an adult and make my own choices. If I want to buy wine from Cali, or Oregon or France, and it's not in my local Specs or Twin Liquors, I should be able to purchase it from the winery directly.

Our liquor laws are so butt a** backwards. Thanks a lot TABC you continue to show what a worthless POS section of our state goverment you are

You can't buy liquor at all on Sunday, nor after 9:00pm any other day of the week. Sales of beer and wine are not allowed before noon on Sunday. Regulating the hours of sale is a remnant of the old blue laws, but it certainly isn't the most idiotic of the TABC regulations. It's not even in the top half.

Its a stupid law but you can get the wine directly from the wineries and looks like other retailers with the permits. This appears to be a tax issue to make sure these sites are paying the tx liquor tax on the sales. We have too much gov control. Just a few weeks ago, tx changed the law to allow people to sell baked goods from home without a permit.
