I have had my identity stolen multiple times. I still fight and fight this battle everytime, a major purchase in my life pops up.

It is time to start treating these people like major fricking criminals. I am talking 20-life, with no parole.

I literally have been fighting this for almost 10 years now that son of a ***** made my life miserable. He got off with Deferred Adjudication. I was and still am fricking furious.

I have been thinking about adding some foreclosed homes to my portfolio and this freaking thing has come up again.

Credit Reporting Agencies treat me like the criminal.

Sorry this just rambled but I am freaking furious!!!!

Time to start treating identiy thieves as murderers, a deterent is needed. I don't care if they are not dangerous they are just cancers on society.

I agree on you with this one. Damn identity thieves get treated with kid gloves after they do a lot of damage. It take a different kind of law enforcement to catch and punish these people. As you can attest, this isn't some victimless crime. Plus, the people doing identity theft are cunning, plotting kind of folks. Prison terms are a lot scarier to them than to violent criminals who generally have such poor impulse control that consequences don't come into consideration for most of them until they slap the handcuffs on 'em.

I am with you all the way. They are ***** enough that if a few get big sentences and um, things happen to them in prison, the others will think twice. Nobody does a crime expecting to get caught but if the crime you want to commit gets you lots of swag and cash with little to no penalty it is worth it to them. Let's not make it worth it any longer. Let's make it easier for the victims to get their lives and credit back. This is some serious ********.
