I’d still rather be playing for the championship

We have already "played for the conference championship". Saturday doesn't prove anything except how overwhelmingly stupid Bowelsby is.

If we win, we go to San Antonio. If we lose, we go to San Antonio.

I thought the Big XII Champ, if not in the play-off, goes to the Sugar?

I don't know how the committee would decide between OU and tOSU should OU win. I could give you 10 reasons for both teams. And if Georgia beats Bama (doubtful), then it's really up in the air.

It'd be an easy OU over tOSU.
-Same record
-Both conference champs
-OU lost to a good team
-tOSU lost to an average team

If tOSU jumps OU, that tells me the committee looks at who is the best recently not who is the best over the season.

Trouble is you are only looking at it from who did you lose to. There is also the who did you beat. OU's best wins will be a 3 loss WVU and a 4 loss UT who also beat them. tOSU will have just beaten a 2 loss MU that was ranked #4 after 11 games. This is not as cut and dried as you want it to be. I could see it going either way, but hopefully OU has 2 losses after Sat and we're ranked ahead of them because no way to you put a 2 loss OU ahead of a 3 loss Texas team that beat them twice. Personally I'm hoping Georgia beats Bama just to show once again how stupid a 4 team playoff really is.

This committee guesswork is crap. The committee has five active ADs on it. OU, Ohio State, Oregon, GA and FL.
How does that happen? It simply destroys what little credibility, if any, they have. Why do they allow this? It is a blatant attempt to position certain schools for a chance to get to the big dance.

Are any of you naive enough to think these ADs don’t have built in biases? If so, you need a keeper for your own protection.

Plus, given that your scenario involves an OU win, OU would have gotten revenge after losing to Dicker the Kicker. tOSU got boat raced by a team that just won their 6th game to become bowl eligible.

UGA winning wouldn’t hurt my feelings. I can’t imagine how drunk I might have to get to try to forget an American History X level curb stomping that Bana would put on that OU non offensive squad.

He hasn't proven that to me so far.
Thanks. :)

Bama is a refined version of Texas without the need to actually run the QB. They’d score 45 on the sooners and effectively hold the ball over there head with one hand and hold us off with their other hand on our forehead. 45-31.

Of course I thought the same thing when Trevor knight destroyed them. So, maybe I’m just a pessimist.

I did look at who they beat - same number of opponents translating to winning their respective conferences. We are comparing two Power 5 conferences not the Big 10 and the MAC. Just beating a 2 loss UM shouldn't matter. It should be just as impressive for tOSU to beat UM in the beginning of September as it is in the end of November since we are evaluating the entire season.
