According to the AP article, it doesn't count as a no-hitter because the Dodgers didn't bat in the 9th. That doesn't make any sense. It's a regulation game and the only reason the Dodgers didn't bat because they had the lead and were home. You can qualify for a complete game by pitching only 8 innings in that situation.
