who has been? tips? looking to go for first time later this summer.

By 1999 it was commercialized so I can only guess how bad it is now. Once tv got ahold of it with shows like E's Wild On, forget it. It was gone before then but oh well. Friends of mine who dj there still make in one summer what most make in a year so for them it is great. They play music by night, get laid all morning then sleep on the beach till the next party. Not a bad life.

Since you will not have anything to compare present day to it will be an off the hook blast for you. Don't expect to get into any of the bigger parties like Manumission etc, unless you know somebody or meet somebody over there. i am sure that greasing a palm can work but I don't know that the amount of money it would take is worth being in an overcrowded bar.

There will be hot drunk girls from all around the world in every bar and restaurant so it does not really matter. Scrub dj's don't play there so the music should be good anywhere you go if it is your genre.

Remember, it is "E-beetha".

Been a number of times. Probably some of the best times have ever had. Likewise, though, some of the worst days-after ever also.

You almost have to go into training before you go!

If you are in your 20's, you will have a blast. It's fun for those older as well, but most, by that point, are already out of that phase of their respective lifes. Then again, nothing like a little trip to the island to make you feel young again.

Like mentioned above, it used to be more fun few years back. The commercialization killed the island. From a business standpoint, it was great for it. But ask any local there and you will hear how ****** it has become ... from their point-of-view. Think Cancun before it became THE Spring Break destination.

cool. that's about what i've heard so far about current ibiza. any ideas on good places to stay? looking for mid-priced.

basically, i'll be in ireland for a golf trip in august and when it ends i want to hit a fun beach spot somewhere in europe. never been to ibiza so i am considering it. is there a better spot that is emerging, not so commercialized? i went to mykonos once and it was allsome, but ibiza is closer and i want to try something new to me.
