Ian Poulter sure is full of himself

Discussed back then, of course.

I defended his comments. I think I recall that the full comments when taken in context indicated he considered his potential to be that he would be #2 in the world if he played to his full capability. And why wouldn't a great golfer think that?

Besides, I always hear people whine about how nobody wants to step up and challenge Woods. Somebody states that as his goal and everyone mocks him. Pick a side, folks.

Don't get me wrong, I think Poulter's nuts, but I don't mind his comment at all.

The side I'm picking is that Poulter is an idiot for making any comment that even resembled those remarks. I'm all for golfers showing confidence, but try winning a few more tournaments or one major before spouting off.

Besides, it's not like this guy is in his 20's. He's 32. When does he plan on reaching his full potential?

I think Poulter is nuts as well, but I see nothing wrong with the comment. Sure, he has no wins to back it up, but it didn't seem so outlandish to me.

There are probably 20 guys out there that think the exact same thing. And they are probably all right. They just arent dumb enough to say it.
