I would rather be in a smaller conference

If Colorado and MIssouri were to leave the Big 12 I would rather us be in a smaller conference. The main reason is that the conference championship can be a burden espeiclaly since USC and Ohio State are in conferences that don't have no such a game and it could ruin others chances. Look at last year what could have happened if that second hadn't been given to us against Nebraska and if Alabama hadn't blocked thost Tennnessee field goals.
I would rather have us in a conference against 8 or 9 other teams that way we would have 7 or 8 conference games and 4 or 5 non conference games. Plus we would get to play each member of the confernce once each year.

I think if Colorado and Missouri leave the Big 12 it will most likely be for the Big Ten for Mizzou and Pac 10 for Colorado. From everything I've read the whole reasoning for this would be to have a Championship game for those conferences (especially the Big 10). We would have to add TCU, BYU, or someone to keep ours so I don't think we would keep only 10 teams. There is too much money in the CCG's to not have one which is why the other conferences are fighting to get one and I don't have an issue with that.

What I do have an issue with is the automatic BCS tie in for conferences that do not have a Championship game. I feel if you're gonna have a auto bid then you should have to have a CG. Either that or just do away with the championship games all together (and that isn't going to happen). As you stated there is too much at stake for those that actually play the "extra" game and that should be taken into account when handing out the automatic bids.

Hadn't thought of that. Also, less chance for injury to key players.

If we have a 10 team conference, is there any thing really wrong with that? Play Neb. and KSU every year, give us a chance to work on that KSU curse more often, play nine conf. games a year, three nonconference.

Maybe even invite TCU to join the conference, that's a good 11 team conference, play 10 conf. games, two non-con. that's a pretty good SOS. Top 25 teams Neb., OU, TCU, us and maybe KU.

That's a pretty salty league. I think that would do some pretty serious damage to Aggy recruiting also. I think Aggy would be dueling with TCU and Tech for recruits.

Also, look at the divisions. Maybe we could move OU out of the South into the North. Leave OSU and the five Texas teams in the south.

With your proposal NU and OU could play every year. And that's something that ANY true Husker fan would be down with.
