I wonder how Portland fans feel these days.....

knowing their franchise passed on both Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant for two big men who turned out to be busts. Sucks for them!

It does suck for us here in Portland. We were all pulling for Kevin to be drafted here to join up with LaMarcus.

That said, I'm very happy for Kevin and the Thunder. He's such a level-headed and humble guy. He's a real winner in my book and I'm glad he's a Longhorn! Go Thunder!

Greg Oden has been a huge bust. However 90% of GMs would've taken Oden ahead of Durant. In hindsight a horrible pick though.

Bowie was nowhere near the bust that Oden has been. He just had the misfortune of being taken ahead of Jordan.

As an x-Trailblazer fan I will tell you my experience. The first NBA player I can remember is Bill Walton. I fell in love with his play in the Championship games in the 70's. It was then I became a Trailblazer fan. When they drafted Bowie, I was so irate with them because Bowie was always hurt at Kentucky and knew before they drafted him that he was going to be a bust. It was a no brainer to me. I was ridiculed by my buddies for years after this debacle, but I kept the faith.

I remember watching the lottery draft when Oden and Durant were coming out. I was so hoping that we would get the 2nd pick because I knew those idiots would draft Oden over Durant. When they got the first pick, I sent them emails pleading that they take Durant because I felt he was going to be a special player. I even said in my letters that I would no longer be a Trailblazer fan if they took Oden. Well, they took him and I am no longer a Trailblazer fan.

I am now a Spurs and Durant fan. I guess it was meant to be.

But Durant couldn't bench press!

As worst draft picks ever, does the name Larue Martin ring any bells? Oden has been a bust due solely to injury. He is still young enough to pan out. I'd bet dollars to donuts the Pacers would give up a #1 to get Oden. But I bet Portland isn't selling quite yet either. Not sure the long term prognosis of Oden's ijuries.

Portland already sold.
They released him in March, so the Pacers can have him for nothing if they really want him.
(Except what they pay him of course)
