I want to watch Rugby

Other than Fados, is there a place in austin where you can grab a few drinks and watch a rugby match? At Fados they charge a $20 cover charge which i wont pay. I've been watching some of the games online at The Link, which isn't bad, but not the same as a pub.bar experience. Any ideas?

Guess I could always head out to Burr field to watch the Blacks and Golds play.

The Ale House in the alley behind Sixth Street used to show Rugby. I don't know if they stilll do.

Fado only charges when they have to pay a license fee for games. It is usually quite hefty and I bet they don't break even with cover charges. I doubt you'll find a bar that eats the subscription fees. For games on traditional channels Fado doesn't charge.
