I thought AJ played a great game.

It's tough on him when he's guarded by such length, but I thought he did a good job looking for teammates for the most part, he grabbed a couple of key rebounds, and even had the steal at a critical juncture of the game. He did force up a few shots, but on this team, and the way he's defended, that's to be expected. He didn't go crazy with it.

He had a great career at Texas, even if I personally had a lot of problems with his style of play the whole time. Frankly, I look forward to not having him be such a huge topic of conversation.

He was pretty solid today. One play really stood out to me where he went up for a three, but then passed to Pittman when he was already up for the shot. That was a very... UNSELFISH of him.

Congrats AJ on a great career at Texas. He went out with another solid performance. I remember him as a freshman and he always made a 3 when we needed it. One of my favorite Texas players ever. I don't know if we will ever see a better 3 point shooter on the 40 acres. Good luck with your future AJ.

He was a fantastic role player. This year we asked him to be more then that. He took more then that on himself at times last year.

I too have longed for his graduation at times, the funny thing is that he'd probably be great with next years team when he's not a focal point of opposing defenses.

He had a solid game. He had his great game against Minn and I wish it had been against Duke when we needed it most. But that is the way it goes.

It wasn't going to be against Duke. They covered him with a lengthy defender who face guarded him all game, without giving any help defense at any time.

Minnesota, on the other hand, not only played a straight up man for much of the game, but even went to a 2-3 zone of all things. I don't know what Tubby was thinking, but I'm glad for it.

Credit should go to Abrams for not forcing up poor shot attempts, but instead relying on Ward to beat his man one on one. Abrams forced up a few, but he needed to. He wasn't getting open looks, and the times he was hoisting up shots made Duke keep concentrating on him. He still wasn't the player I wish he was in terms of being able to beat his man off the dribble, and being able to defend on the other side (he was fine on effort --- he just has no length), but in the context of the one skill he does have, I thought he was superb, without forcing the action.

Damn shame that 3-pointer at the 1:15 mark or so (can't remember for sure) rimmed out--it would've been a nice ending to a storied career. He had a couple do that late in the second half, actually.

Good luck to A.J. wherever he lands, and thanks for four seasons on the Forty!
