I Saw Phil Pressey Friday Night

I went to watch Bellaire vs. Episcopal School of Dallas at the Texas High School Jamboree at Strake Jesuit last Friday. Phil was very impressive. He basically is a one man show with the exception of one other teammate.

I filmed the game, but have been trying to figure out the best way to get the video up on the web. My efforts have been futile so far, especially when I thought being just under 1 GB would get the file uploaded to Youtube. For whatever reason, it would never upload.

Back to Phil. He is very fast and has great handles. His jumper is smooth. He has to do too much for his team, so he plays out of control sometimes. Personally, my favorite part of his game that night was his passing. Very smooth.

Saturday night, I went to see Bellaire vs. Dallas Lincoln, followed by Houston Wheatley vs. Dallas Lancaster. All four teams have lots of talent. LeBryan Nash (2011) was the main person I wanted to see that night. He played outstanding for Dallas Lincoln.

The Wheatley/Lancaster game wasn't really a game. It was purely, up and down. No offense really. Wheatley will do that to you, however. Their crowd was awesome. They made this sound every time a three went up. It's hard to describe in words. Mike Davis was their leader that night. Foul trouble plagued him at times, but he is a nice player. He is headed to Tech next year.

Reggie Rankin did a write up about the "tournament". I saw him but didn't get a chance to talk with him. Below are some links you might find useful.
