I really want to see Niagara Falls

Anyone here ever been there? Any tips (best time to go, etc)?

I stayed on the Canadian side at the Embassy Suites. There are several hotels there that have rooms that overlook the Canadian Falls (the bigger ones) that offer a view of the falls from the rooms. The tour under the falls was interesting if for no other reason than to hear and feel the falls. The Maid of the Mist is the boat seen in Bruce Almighty that drives up into the falls. SInce both of these activities involve you getting wet (the little yellow pancho they give is not that watertight), I would hate to go in Winter. I went in Summer and it was a great trip.
