I need to open a .dat file ASAP---HELP!!!

IS there any way to open this file without having Corel Word Perfect? I need this letter of reccomendation tomorrow or I am royally screwed.

You can probably open it in notepad and copy the text into Word, then reformat and print it.

Tried the notepad idea, didn't work.

Any other ideas?

This assumes I know what a .dat file is...

If you have MS Word, you can try to open in there. Or send it to me, and I'll return it saved as a Wordpad doc. [email protected]

Try in Excel or try download/installThe Link or find a Wordperfect user (maybe at a Kinkos? call ahead).

I didn't think .dat was a common wordperfect file suffix. I can give it a shot if you send it to me.
