I expect a full hornfans dogpile on me, but I'm serious.
Background (all names have been changed):
I've known Mary professionally for 15 years, and our relationship was also social. About 4 years ago she met John through her profession...they hit it off, got married, and started a company together. Mary had been after me to come to work with them. When wifey left, I decided to do it.
Over the last 18 months I came to the conclusion that both John and Mary were shady...beyond my wildest imagination. He's a pathological liar...really has a problem with the truth and lies constantly and expected me to go along with what ever ******** he was feeding customers and other associates. She's just as bad, in fact, worse, because she's sneaky.
They have several lawsuits pending, countersuits, etc. with former associates and employees. It's a ******* mess. Most folks that we were dealing with figured out that John is full of ****, so they would contact me and try to do most of the dealings with me. Obvously, I was as honest as I could be with everybody.
Obviously, I don't work there anymore as of about 2 months ago.
Fast forward to today. One of my former co-workers, Jane, tells my girlfriend (they know each other casually) that I contacted her on facebook. My girlfriend was quite surprised, as she was unaware of my posting on facebook. I don't have all the details (waiting for Jane's call) but it seems as though Mary set up a facebook account in my name, using my work email (which they turned "off" when I left the company.
I can only imagine that they are using my reputation as being open and honest to collect intelligence/dirt from former employees and other associates.
What they have allegedly done is scummy, but does it rise to the level of criminal?
And if any posters that I'm quite familiar with are on facebook, please PM me, I'd like it if someone would check to see if I indeed have a facebook. It doesn't have to be NAIU or Carr throws far...anyone's help would be welcomed
