I need a new PS3 Game

I'm not a big time gamer, play once or twice a week for a couple of hours, and have only 2 games ; Call of Duty 4 and Uncharted; Drake's Fortune. Of the two, Uncharted is my favorite because it tells a story and I like running through castles collecting clues and being part of the story. I do like shooter games but Uncharted seems more interactive. This is not to say that I don't like COD4, which I really do but it's mostly a shooter game. The games that I'm thinking of buying are: BioShock, Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Dead Space, and Resistance 2; maybe GTA4. I'm thinking of buying 2 games, which games do you think I'll enjoy most? Thanks

My taste runs similar to yours and I gave Little Big Planet a try and I am absolutely hooked. Haven't had this much fun since Mario - incredibly creative and engaging. At its heart it's a platformer, but that's only a fraction of what it is.

My 9 year old knocked out drakes in about 4 hours and now rarely if ever plays it. Which from now on I will rent all games prior to buying. If they can finish it rental time, why buy it? My 15 year old plays COD online a lot, too much. Little Big Planet though seems to have legs and they love it, even my daughter will watch that one. It is pretty much a never ending game since you can add to it on your own or download other peoples stuff.

I completely forgot that I could download the demos from the Playstation store. Downloading BioShock demo right now.

Where's a good place to rent games? If its anything like Netflix, seems like I would have to rent and play a lot of games to justify the membership. I have a Netflix membership but I don't think they have games available for rent. What about Blockbuster?

I finished BioShock a few nights ago (pc version). It's a shooter at heart but it's got enough genre crossing elements to make it interesting (I got massively bored halfway through Doom 3 as a counter example). It has a lot of elements of horror/action/puzzle in it. Great voice acting. Pretty good plot.

I don't know about the console version, but if the PS3 graphics are similar to an ATI 4870 video card the game is immersive and creepy as hell. The first time I saw a Big Daddy/Little Sister tandem in action was unsettling, much less attacking one of those things on the medium/hard setting if you're low on ammo.

I'm downloading Metal Gear Solid 4 demo now. I played some of BioShock and its pretty creepy. I like creepy, so if maybe I can find it used on Amazon. I would really like to find a demo of Fallout 3. I suck at these games but there fun and it kills 3-4 hours very easily. I would love to play these games on a 120" projector!!

If you like creepy, you'll love Dead Space. Talk about enjoying the full experience, the gui for the game is so clean, you see everything on your tv screen.

I'm very disappointed in MGS4. The cut scenes are ridiculously long and can't be skipped. It's good for the story but you oughtta be able to skip them if you want. There's also no repercussion to playing the game as a full on FPS even though you're supposed to keep the body count down.

I'm interested in this as well. In the 2 years I've had my PS3, I've mostly played Resistance and then CoD4. Tried to play Rainbow Six Vegas and GTAIV, but couldn't get into either of them. R6 had too much stealth planning to keep me interested, then GTAIV was a huge failure as far as that franchise goes.

Now I'm looking for a couple new games and my top choices are Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Bioshock, and Little Big Planet. Resistance 2 is probably gonna be one of my purchases because I liked the first one and feel confident in their ability to improve on that. Then it's a tossup between the other three.

Fallout 3 - I've never played the first couple Fallout games, but I'm interested in the story and the graphics look awesome. I don't do too well with RPG games though, so is this full-on RPG or is it more fast paced?

Bioshock - What should I expect? Resident Evil type game with a different premise?

Little Big Planet - This is the huge wild card for me. I would never be interested in this game on the surface, but I keep hearing great reviews. Is it just like a newer version of Mario? What exactly is the point of the game? IGN has it listed as a "Platformer", but I guess I'm familiar with that terminology. The screenshots also make it look like something the wife would like. Yes/no?

Blockbuster and Movie Gallery both rent games. We have better luck finding it available at movie gallery.

I love Assassin's Creed. I like The Force Unleashed as well but I'm a fan of those Star Wars games like KOTOR. I know several people who can't stop playing Lego Batman.

Wild Turkey - Download the demos from the PSNetwork. It'll give a little glimpse into what to expect. While downloading the demos, I suggest Dead Space. I heard it was really creepy....in a good way.

Has anyone played Far Cry 2.....thoughts? Seems a little like Uncharted.

I have been reading several reviews for different games and under the cheats section, someone will provide a "cheat code" that "unlocks missions", exactly what does this mean? I've seen cheats that stear you toward certain areas to pickup clues but I have no idea what "unlocking missions" does?

Is there a demo for Little Big Planet? I'm downloading demos right now for BioShock, Dead Space, and Motorstorm Pacific Rift. I had already downloaded the MGS4 demo a few weeks ago and decided it wasn't for me.
