This is going to be one of the greatest shows to silently disappear in the last decade. When Better Off Ted is on, it is the best sitcom on television.

Better Off Ted is one of the best shows on TV right now, I'm sure they'll go ahead and kill it off.

It kind of reminds me of Sports Night. Networks still don't know what to make of smart comedies without a laugh track.

People complain about a network not knowing what to do with a smart comedy, but the ratings have consistently been in the low 80's to 90's out of about 110 shows. And that's been the case for both years it has been on. A network can only put a show on for so long at those ratings before they finally have to yank it.

Sports Night and Arrested Development were brilliant. Better Off Ted isn't quite on their level, IMO, but it's damn close, and it's one of the two funniest shows on (Modern Family being the other).

And I agree---it probably will soon get the axe. Why would a network want quality programming, anyway, right???
