I have no idea why I received it. The envelope is addressed to me, but I'm not the addressee on the letter.

The letterhead is The Vara Company, Inc. That company is no longer in existence. The return address on the envelope shows Vara Properties, L.C., and this entity's registered agent is Richard Haberman.

Richard Haberman signed this letter, but he goes by "Porky." Attached to this letter is a note:

In reply to:

Your footprints are imperceptible, but your imprint on young lives is indelible. Slowly, they’ll come to realize your unselfish gifts and be thankful. In the meantime, we’ll try to fill your heart with our unconditional appreciation and as much applause as we can muster for the way you live your life and lift up the lives of all around you.

I wouldn't have had to look up where Flatonia was.

Wow! Just Wow! I used to work for "Porky" Haberman over the summer during college at UT. I can't say I'm fond of him.

Bookman,
I received the same letter.

Funniest thing though, on the envelope my city's name is misspelled.
Instead of Lockhart, it reads Kockhart.

What a dick!

Aggy's excuse for losing to us next year: we didn't lose, we were not capable of meeting the challenges of meeting well funded competition with limited resources.

Well, **** ... I teach, but I didn't get any letter from Porky.

But I teach in a community college, so I guess that's why.

I wonder if my sister, a high school teacher and Texas Ex, got one.

Was Porky trying to get you to buy a book that contains your listing?
