I hate off-nights!

I have to teach tonight (class ends at 8:50 p.m.; I'm usually home by about 9:10 p.m.) but I always turn on the game as soon as I get home. But tonight there's no game. I will feel lost and dejected with no Rangers baseball to warm me.

Yeah, I know the players need a day off, but what about me and my needs??

Texanne,
I noted the off day, also, so I scheduled a bridge game for this evening.

At least we can turn on SportsCenter to see if the Angels lose!

I will be in front of the TV for the game on Tuesday evening. Let's see if we can get the zealots together and brew up a good batch of mojo
to do in the A's.

I'll be doing errands I was supposed to do over the weekend that I procrastinated because I wanted to watch every pitch of every Rangers game.

In reality, I probably need the off-day.

Tuesday night I will have to leave the house at about 7:40 p.m. to go teach aerobics, which means I probably will get to see the whole first inning against Oakland, and maybe a little of the second. I get home around 9:15 p.m., so there's still some ballgame for me to enjoy.

Wednesday is the last night of the semester, so I will have a good month with no Monday/Wednesday obligations, so I will be able to watch the whole game those nights. But Tuesdays and Thursdays are forever, or at least until the gym decides they don't want me to teach anymore.

We have a DVR, but Shadowdancer records so many shows that it's impossible for me to record a game. And anyway, teams that I record have a tendency to lose, so you don't want me recording the Rangers.

and in Breaking News...Dan Haren just got knocked out...literally. Kevin Youkillis smashes drive up the middle that smacked him in the forearm. Had to be taken out of game. Mitch Williams said he would have have a "monkey bump" on his arm.

Hook'em!!!

you're right H69, that was a real thump he took. Caught him on the inner bone of the forearm halfway up the arm it looked like.

I've been watching the game on and off, Haren escaped some trouble in the 2nd, got lucky to get out of it w/o crooked #'s...then gave up Ortiz' dinger, but settled down....hate to see a guy leave injured

Bucholtz has pitched his way out of jams early hisownself, has settled into a rythm...now in the 7th, Halo's w/ a runner on 1rst w/ one out...Hang in there Clay!!
