there's a restaurant at Ceasar's that I just found this august. it's called Rao's. they have one other location, the original, which is NYC, and has been open for about 100 years or something.

anyway, my wife jsut found their sauces at our local HEB. the marinara actually tastes like marinara.

I will never buy any other brand.

The downside is that it's $9.00/jar, but i don't care anymore. it is allsome.

i am utterly shocked by the first reply. Never saw that coming here on HF.

jesus. Of COURSE I can make it cheaper. You can make anything cheaper than the retail price of the same quantity/product.

Guess what? If you've kept up around here, you'd never question whether I am capable of making it. I can make anything. I'm kind of a big deal cooking wise.

It's simple:

Sometimes, I do not have the time, nor do I want to make a sauce. thus, I like others, may purchase it. This product is the best I've found for purchase. hence, the entire point of my post.

I also put ketchup on it. And okra too.

I always forget that sarcasm isn't always read into comments on here... My post was a joke........

I agree that the Rao's sauce is very good....prob the best store version out there. Their Vodka sauce is excellent.

How does one become a "big deal" anyway. 'Cause I'm all about that ****.

Rao's owner is none other than the Sopranos' Frank Pellegrino by the way.

Patsy's is also really really good. It is about 9.00 a jar. Rao's is great. I buy either of these when i buy jarred sauce.
