To the dude who sits behind me in Section 105, Row 32 (you bet I'm calling him out), learn the CORRECT words to The Eyes of Texas!!!

It is NOT "tonight so early in the morn" and there is not a round of "away"s after the fourth line. You sound like an idiot, especially after you laugh at yourself for saying, "...away, awwaayyy."

And this is the same guy who shouts the name of every player in a drunken slur (or so it sounds) during the animated Godzillatron introduction before the team comes out. When their picture shows up, it's "Bobbbyyyy"..."Tommmmyyyy"..."Eaaarrrrllllll"..."Riccccckkkkkyyyyy"..."Vinnncccceeee"..."Collllttttt"

You're a dumbass and everyone around you hates the team intro because they have to listen to you.

FYI --- you also can sing, "From night 'til early in the morn," meaning that even asleep, you cannot escape The Eyes of Texas.

That's the way I was taught when I was a kid in the late 50's/early 60's.
 
"The Eyes of Texas" is the official Alma Mater of the University of Texas. It was written in 1903 by John Sinclair, in response to a request that a song be written for the Cowboy Minstrel Show. Since he was given only a few hours in which to come up with a tune, Mr. Sinclair hit upon the idea of using a famous saying of Colonel Prather, who was the President of the University. The Colonel always told his audiences to remember that "the eyes of Texas are upon you." This expression was fitted to the tune of "I've Been working on the Railroad" and is played prior to the start and at the close of all Texas sporting events and at all other official University of Texas functions. The original manuscript hangs in the Alumni Center.

The fans I HATE the most are the ones who are constantly texting the ENTIRE damn game. GTFO here so someone who really wants to watch the game and be enthusiastic can be in the stadium
 
Exception: when we have a home game the weekend before the OU game, once we are 100% assured of victory during the game, or during the playing of Texas Fight that happens right after the game ends, we can go ahead and start up the "ou sucks"
 
It would be easier to see the practice if we were to build some kind of big woodpile and light it on fire, too.
 
I bet we could work in getting some practice on sticking my tongue down my girlfriend's throat. After all, it's the only action I get all week.
