I can't delete files!

I'm trying to delete files and pictures on my computer but every time I do, it makes a copy of the picture in the folder and I get rid of them. Help!

go into safe mode (keep hitting F8 while windows is starting up), then choose safe mode.

delete files while in safe mode.

Well, I just deleted the whole folder and that worked, however, now in the My Documents folder, its making multiple copies of everything: pics, videos, mp3s, school papers. Why is it doing this??
