I can see how they decided us as a 4.

it's stupidly simple, but take a look, maybe they decided to put the best team from the west in the west regional, that's SDSU, decided because of their record make them a 2.

Then they had to beef up the rest of the region. Duke a 1. check. then they decided to send more teams from the rest of the country, UConn and us.

They looked at Uconn beating us, Big East vs.Big12, our late season swoon and, boom Uconn 3,Texas 4.

I don't agree we're a 4, we obviously deserved a 2 or a 3 at the least, but if you agree with my theory that they felt like they needed a team from the region to advance to Anaheim, it kind of makes sense.

They needed SDSU to advance to Anaheim, because they're the only team from the area!

Once they decided to send us west, it was done.

Colorado coach, Boyle makes a great point about the NCAA selection committee's hypocrisy.

So much of the committee's rhetoric points to, "What have you done over the last 10 games?"

However, CU getting snubbed seems to point to their performance in November & December. Their last 10 games have shown they belong. Plus, beating KSU three times and Texas.

So committee...what is it? These guys are so full of ****. Same ***-kissing every year for the same teams in terms of seeding.

Texas as a 4-seed is a joke. CU not getting in is criminal.

Vitale and Jay Bilas were merciless in their criticism of the selection committee. But what can you expect from a bunch of non-basketball guys chaired by the tOSU AD?

No Big 12 Love is obvious. Colorado I thought should go but they were 8 - 8 in the conference and they did finish the year at 6 - 5 which is not very good. Texas does not match up very well with Oakland who has a dominant big man who blocks shots and they can score from 3 point range. I see the Texas Oakland game as a game that could go either way. Oakland is one of the hottest teams out there winning 18 out of 19.

Yes Big 12 got no respect and Texas got snubbed when many of the basketball minds I had heard thought we had a shot at a #2 seed. I would have settled for a #3.

Here are the 3 seeds:
Syracuse, 26-7 (12-6 Big East)
UConn, 26-9, (9-9 Big East)...played well at end but 9th in their conference
Purdue, 25-7 (14-4 Big 10), lost last 2 games of the season
BYU, 30-4 (14-2 MWC)

IMO I think Texas should have gotten a #3 seed ahead of either Uconn or Purdue. UConn is the more likely b/c of their conference record and ranking. This is where Lunardi had Texas slotted before the Kansas game and I just don't see that Kansas game moving Texas down. I don't think our 2 first round matchups are going to be all that different and they are winnable. The difference though is likely playing Duke in the sweet 16 vs. playing SDSU which may be overrated.

I think they had us as a 3 seed and they decided LATE to bump Uconn up and because they were lazy and didn't want to rethink the fact they put us in the west..... they bumped UConn to 3 and us down to 4. When it should've been BYU or some other team that UConn bumped, not US. But because the West is where they had us both pegged... .we got the shaft.

Big XII overall got the shaft. Aggy as a 7 seed? mizzou as an 11 seed? Once i saw those 3 i KNEW that CU was out.
