I bought a PS3

bought a PS3 with RE5 last weekend. the 80G version...if i'd have known that you had to upload games just to play em and upload the latest version of PS3 online or whatever it's called just to use the dame thing i would have gotten the 160G version of the PS3 for a hundred bucks more! i thought 80G would be enough for my gaming needs. after downloading all that stuff just to play the damn game it left me with only <59G. i'm pissed.

You can easily upgrade the hard drive.

ive had no problem with my 80GB, once you are done playing it, it is no problem to delete it, and i have never had an oveheating issue.

how do you upgrade? i haven't seen anything in the stores as far as buying more memory for it.

i did read in the manual that it can overheat if in an enclosed space. maybe i should move mine out of its confined area....

you actually lucked out not getting the 160gig HD because you can do the same upgrade yourself for much cheaper and it only takes a couple minutes.

Any 2.5" hard drive will work. A quick search on newegg gets a 320GB laptop hd for $60.

If the PS3 is laying flat facing you, the HD enclosure is on the left side. Just open the flap, undo a couple screws and slide out the old one. When you start up again you will have to format the HD to the PS3 file system. Make sure to save all your other files (including save files) onto an external HD or USB stick if you don't want to redownload. I'm sure there are more detailed instructions and videos out there.

Uncharted is a great PS3 exclusive. Killzone 2 is supposed to be good, If you don't have an 360, I'd look at Fallout 3 and GTA IV.

I got MLB the show and call of duty 5...only play MLB the show now..pretty slick and online gaming is good

i got a ps3 and the first game i got was gta4. it sucks, or maybe i suck. granted i have not had a system in 10 years, but f'in a i found it to be a pain in the ***.

i bought MGS4. bad-*** game, one of the best i've ever played. i love it.

i also bought Resistance Retribution for my PSP because i heard about how bad-*** it was supposed to be....it's ok....should have bought God of War instead...
