I am the world's worst Solitaire player

I just recently started playing Solitaire in my free time and after 50 games my record is 1-49. I suck.

My question is this :

Can every dealt game of Solitaire be solved?

Mathematically I believe 2/3 games can be solved.

Depends on how you play them. I play the 3 card draw vegas way where it only goes through the deck 3 times. No way in hell 2/3rds of those can be solved.

I play every night on my Ipod before bed, a couple of games or so. Now, there are some times there are multiple plays in a game (taking one black six instead of the other). I always play where I take the card off of the deck with the highest amount of cards. In addition, I don't move my stacks to the top unless I feel it is necessary.

I win 1/8 or 1/9.

The 2/3 applies to the 1-card version. 3 cards would definitely be much harder.

How % of games can be solved playing the basic version that ships with Windows? I'm assuming this is one of the easier variants?

Windows can be set to Draw One/Draw Three and Standard/Vegas scoring. I can't remember what the default is.

I'm more of a Freecell man.

This post made me want to play. I just finished my first game of solitaire in at least 3 years. I won in 214 seconds. 3-card draw style, normal scoring.

Yep. I've won one more game than a dead man.

Actually, I tried it on one card and it was a lot easier.
