It is not that I can blame them but damn it gets old. Some one just said something like if you needed a boost to your program play Texas.
And they EVERY freakin week bring up the "We're back".
I don't want to be the Michigan of the southwest

I don’t think Charlie is better than Sam. We have discussed on this board that Coaches and surrounding players make a difference. Charlie is starting at Baylor. I guess he would rather sit on the sidelines with a Texas jersey on.

A a couple of things. First, older brother Michael's basically non-recruitment by Texas upset the family. Second, the only D1 offer Charlie had was from SMU (so Texas wasn't alone in bypassing him). He ended up at Baylor when Rhule showed-up and offered a scholarship.

By the way, Charlie's cousin Bo is a walkon Freshman QB at Baylor.

I don't blame Sam for saying we were back. A young guy full of testosterone and adrenaline in the bright lights of a huge victory. What would we expect?

Sam is by far the best QB we have seen at Texas in a decade and probably one of the top five since DKR. As Herman said and I tend to agree, only one of those four TCU picks was really due to an error by Sam. I agree that he didn’t have a great game, but if he played mediocre, how would you rate Herman/Beck’s play calling? I’d rate it abysmal.

The kid is not perfect but for my money, he’s pretty damn good. Give him better plays today and he’ll light up the Bears.

On the notoriety we’re getting on GameDay, I like it. Almost any publicity is good publicity. They like to make fun of Texas because of the stature of our program. When they stop talking about us it will be time to worry.
