I already hate Fox and Hounds.

The Three I's

25+ Posts
First, they take over the site of my favorite bar in Austin (Waterloo Brewpub) and now they are flying A&M and OU flags (along with the rest of the Big 12) from their roof. Their sign says they are a "smokehouse." Somehow I don't think John Mueller's or the Ironworks is too worried about the Fox and Hounds barbecue.

I have a bad feeling that there will be enough damn yankees and other idoit tourists in the area that will gladly shell out 20 bucks for their ****** bbq, and 5 bucks for a pint of Lone Star.

Three I's ns I have alot in common. I will never know first hand how much their beer is nor how their food tastes. They have already lost a customer for life. How cool would it be if by grass roots action and protest we chased them off in time? That would send an allsome message to their type of ilk.

Loop: Exactly. No self-respecting Austinite, or Texan for that matter, should patronize anything like this. Just stay away, make sure your friends do and time will take it's toll.

A business, esp. a restaurant fears the "friends" rule. If each friend, tells 10 friends about your disdain for a place and they tell 10 of their friends....it adds up quick. Sort of like Pay it Forward, Austin style...called: Get the **** out of our city.

Thanks for the heads up. Some friends of mine were there and said it would be a good place to catch the away games. I'll make sure it doesn't happen.

I have not done it yet but I hope to catch away games at the Alamo Drafthouse downtown. They project it on the big, big screen (bigger than TV) and serve food and beer. I think they pump the volume pretty good too. That sounds good to me. I am going to two away games this year so it is not so bad.

Fox and Hound, don't go away mad, JUST GO AWAY!

Maybe the Alamo will sponsor a "Loopy's Stalker Tailgate Party". LOL, just kidding. Some times I crack myself up.

There is a precedent for driving one of these chains out of town. Bruegger's Bagels, a national chain, actually opened right next to Hot Jumbo Bagels on 5th St. (just around the corner from Fox&Hounds) in the mid 90s. Austinites preferred Hot Jumbo and Bruegger's eventually closed down.

I wouldn't go there just because of the freakin nerve it takes to open up on the old site of Waterloo and hang an OU and aggie flag. They must have titanic balls.

I volunteer to create static during Mr. Myke's getaway. I will trip the bouncers trying to catch him and maybe even gouge out an eye as I help them up. I am fully endorsing his actions and willing to help.
