Which one of these would Jerry Jones rather have

1) A season in which he makes 100 million dollars and the Cowboys don't make the playoffs

or

2) The Cowboys win the superbowl and he only makes 50mil

I think it's number 2. People talk alot of **** on him, but I think he is committed to winning.

2 by a mile. now if its winning a sb and losing 20mil vs. 7-9 and making 50 mil, then you may have an issue. not sure how much coin he's got, maybe he'd eat the 20 mil to win another, especially if he can use it to proclaim himself a competent nfl gm.

#2. Winning will get his picture in more magazines and newspapers and better prop up his ego as a business and football "genius".

#2 but you need to add that in addition he is finally given credit for being the football man that he has so desperately tried to be since Jimmy left, which is why he will continue to settle for $100 & no championships. It just won't happen until he turns things over to a true general manager who concentrates on football and isn't trying to convince people that a $50,000 PSL financed at 8% is a good deal.

There was a time when I was pretty critical of Jerry Jones due to his meddlesome nature, but I have come to the opinion that he is one of the top owners in the NFL, primarily because of his commitment to winning. Coaches love to coach for him and players love to play for him. That in itself says a lot about the man.

While any big decision isn't made without JJ's approval, most people don't realize that his son Stephen coordinates the entire player personnel department. He oversees the negotiation of all player contracts, manages the salary cap and is well respected by players and agents around the league. He also oversees the stadium operations in addition to various other club duties.

One day in the not too distant future the keys to the kingdom will be SJ's and that beats the hell out of a de facto GM like say, a Matt Millen.

#2.

What if Jerry Jones had a choice between winning another 3 SB's but it would cause a complete, permanent, reversal of his plastic surgery?

Either way he is still an a-hole from Arkansas that fired Tom Landry and ruined "America's Team" by filling it with thugs to win at all costs.
