Hyde Park Cafe in South Austin

The old Grandy's location near Central Market was supposed to be turned into a Hyde Park. Nothing's happened to the place. Anyone know if this still going to happen?

I thought they had already ripped the facade off of it/demo'd the building.

This was in the Chronicle back in April. Doesn't look they've made any headway on the buildout. Jackie is Kelso's cousin so he should be able to keep up to speed on any south Austin goings-on.

I saw the site this past weekend as I was driving by. All that's left of Grandy's is the roof and steel frame. I dunno if they're going to build around that or completely demolish it. No construction happens quickly in the City of Austin. I don't think I'll get to enjoy their fries anytime soon.

Dined at lunch on Duval today. Waitress there said the goal is to get the BubbaVille location opened by February. So it's on apparently.
