This gets me pumped up. Having the Hurricanes here in Lincoln was great for baseball, but it's gonna be even better when we play them here in 2014. I've been wanting to get Miami in town for football for quite a while.

Side note, speaking of hurricanes - Those of you back in Houston, stay safe from that hurricane that's headed your way. My thoughts are with you today.

Good for the Huskers! Hopefully both teams will be back to form by that time. I'm looking forward to making the trip to Lincoln in 2016 to open our H&H with you guys.

Although the result of the game was not always favorable, I really did enjoy the trips to Syracuse, Miami, South Bend, Berkeley, LA, etc., just getting to take in all of the different campuses, stadiums, towns, and game day atmospheres. I also look forward to going to Chapel Hill (2011), Eugene (2013), Norman (2014), East Hartford (2015), Lincoln (2016), and Columbus (2019).

OK, so maybe I'm lying about Norman and Columbus.

In related news, DeLoss Dodds announces The University of Texas has also just inked a deal with Miami...

...of Ohio.

I agree, it would be nice if the number of teams that only play cupcakes out of conference were reduced it would make for many more exciting games.

Last year when the University of Miami played in Norman the score wasn't much different than this year when the Sooners played UT Chattanooga. But the atmosphere and the quality of play was like a completely different game. Miami will most likely always have some quality players, some serious speed, you can never write them completely off. I think in a year or two they will be back.

It is always more fun to attend games that have a better chance of being competitive than those you know are going to be blow outs.

Actually, Arkansas this year, then Wyoming, UCLA, and then Mississippi. I would rather see Fla. St., N.D., GA, AL, etc. but any of the four that we have actually scheduled rate higher to me than Miami as far as football (not vacation destinations of course).

If you don't think Miami will be back to form by 2014, you're kidding yourselves. Shannon has recruited very well and all he has to do is keep South Florida kids in Florida.

Ole Miss will always be Ole Miss.

I wish Texas played better people.

I have to give Mack Brown props for Ohio St, but outside of those two games the national perception of the Horns is of a team that continually ducks competition
Why doesn't Mack Brown schedule more home and homes with programs like LSU, Auburn, Florida, Miami, USC...etc

it seems like he always try to weasel his way around things by scheduling traditionally average teams like Ole Miss, Arkansas, Stanford...etc

Then his supporters will try and spin things by saying that playing a sorry *** team like Ole Miss is the same as scheduling Miami
