HRC and the Fawning Press?

While Republican candidates line up for a chance to talk to the microphone, Hillary Clinton's playing harder to get than a high school girl at a junior high dance.

NPR says she has answered 13 questions since she's gone on the campaign trail, and the answers haven't exactly been illuminating.

If she is ever asked any real questions, it will come from a dem challenging her. As long as she is seen as the eventual dem nominee there isn't a point in answering questions or even really taking a tough stand on anything. Competition would be a good thing for the dems because you want anything that's going to come up to happen in the primary not the general. She certainly has a lot of baggage but much of it is seen as old news and won't hurt her too much. But, I do think new bad news would hurt her image more than most because it would cause all of the old stuff to resurface and allow republicans to pile on.

If HRC becomes the nominee, I think it will be an interesting election because such a huge percentage of the population will never vote for her. She has been around a while and I think everybody has already made up their mind about whether they would vote for her or not. That means the election comes down to turnout and getting your people to the polls. The last two presidential elections saw dems own this process with the ground game. Republicans will cry corruption, and there may have been some, but the dems were much better at getting people out. The midterms saw reps showing up to the polls in droves. It will be interesting to see the momentum of the reps vs the "machine" of the dems in an election where everybody will have made up their mind by august.

Well NPR has called her out on it. I guess I haven't spent a lot of time on other news outlets.

This will play to the Republicans advantage. The reason she doesn't want questions is because the answers will not be good. She can avoid as long as no viable democratic challenger challenges her. However, once the Republican nominee is in place, she will be exposed.

She's not ready to start answering questions yet. She's busy working the left wing of the democrat party to get them in line. She can't risk talking too much while she's in that mindset, because she says things like "I would go farther than the president did on his executive action". Once she has the left-wing support lined up, then she'll start talking for the larger audience, and the message will shift back toward the center somewhat.

She will not be able to hide forever. I cannot wait to watch the debates. She does not handle adversity well at all.
