HP Laserjet 4 Plus with Jetdirect Network Card...

I need to find out the IP Address of the printer (jet direct card) in order to make a change to it. I don't know how to find out what the current IP Address is for the printer. How do I find this out? Can't find a way to print a configuration page on the HP LJ 4 plus. The Jetdirect box is connected via serial port to the printer.

Any suggestions???

Hit the button on top of the JetDirect, it'll print out the config page.
Go to HP's website and download the JetDirect configuration utility, you can search for the device via the software if you have the MAC address.

They've gone to a web-based interface, it's a pain in the *** to work with.

Is the printer set up on a server somewhere? If so you should be able to find it there. Right click on printer, properties, and then ports, should have the ip address.

Quagmire, the IP Address has changed. Therefore, it's not printing. Server people had moved the printers to a different server, and screwed up a couple of network printers in the process. I was trying to figure out the current IP Address of the Jetdirect card in order to telnet into the Jetdirect and change the IP address back to what it should be.

In the properties of the printer, it has the correct (but not current) IP address.
