I have to admit you were right about Ash and I was wrong. I did some research and I didn't realize Ash was just a co-DC with Ohio State. He also had time as a DC at Arkansas and Wisconsin and did nothing really positive there.

The writing is on the wall. If Herman was a coach worth a ****, top assistants would be begging to come to Texas. Instead, he gets retreads from other programs.

While certainly I was not impressed with the D today, 31 points in regulation will usually result in a victory in this game. The ill-advised penalties and the ST lapses were probably a bigger factor today. That, and the inability to run the ball.

AS bad as Texas played, the fatal issue was the punter who cost Texas 14 points and field position.
