how will the F1 race affect Foundation parking?

I can't seem to get a straight answer from the Foundation.

If someone has foundation parking but it does not guarantee you a spot does anyone know which parking will also be open to the people attending the race?

On first thought, the F1 crowd wouldn/t affect LHF parking since the race people will not have bona fide LHF-printed parking passes (race fans wouldn't be issued these, or is there something I don;t know).... you have to show the pass to get into the garages, right? Anyway, I'd bet the only race fans parking in the vicinity of campus would only be the high-rollers who would be catching a chopper from downtown; can't be too many of them, or no?

Last year the shuttle buses for F1 fans departed mainly from two places: the Expo Center, and from near the downtown convention center.
I wouldn't think any F1 fans could park in Longhorn Foundation garages, but they could park in the state garages that allow parking for fees. This could squeeze the UT parking somewhat.
I could be wrong, but I don't think this will be a major problem.

Thanks for the info

From what I have been able to find out it looks like there are only 3 garages that allow both Foundation parking and open for fee parking on game days.
So if the race is going on while the game is it will be a problem in those 3 garages. could be worse.

Last year F1 had shuttles stops were on Trinity and the garages around Trinity & 15th streets were used

the only downtown Austin shuttle pick up this year is at Convention Center... no where near LHF garages between 15th-MLK and Colorado and San Jacinto...

Google is your friend... directly from the F1-COTA website

DOWNTOWN AUSTIN SHUTTLE

Downtown shuttles charge per person.
COTA is offering round-trip shuttle service from the Austin Convention Center downtown to the racetrack and back for only $5 per person, per day. Race goers staying in downtown hotels are encouraged to leave their vehicles parked in the downtown area, walk to the Austin Convention Center, and take advantage of the inexpensive round-trip shuttle to COTA. Downtown shuttles will drop passengers at COTA’s shuttle bus depot on McAngus Road, just one-half mile from COTA’s Grand Plaza entrance.
The corner of 4th & Trinity is the exact location for the Downtown Shuttle at Austin Convention Center.
The times for Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.
As a reminder, The University of Texas has a football game on Saturday, Nov 16, which will impact the amount of parking available in downtown Austin.

Man, I wonder what kind of detour I should take returning to Houston after the game. Sounds like 71 may be a mess.

How will that thing affect the traffic on 71 coming in for the football game from Houston?

What is happening on Saturday and at what time that may impact traffic in and out of Austin?

thanks for the info
MY concern was if race attendees would park in those LHF parking areas that also allow fee parking on game day
Your info seemed to answer that
and yes perhaps I should have though of searching there but I didn't

You'll probably be okay taking 290, but I'm not sure if the stupid tolls have gone into effect yet.
