Notice I didn't say grill. It's just too big of a hassle to do that in an apt complex with a small patio and big grill.

So whats the best way to go about cooking this suckers on the stove or oven? Any tricks to tender them up? I have never cooked it before and the internet searches came up a lil empty?

Cast iron skillet would do the best IMO. If it is pure ground venison without added pork fat, you will probably want to mix in a little ground pork or ground chuck or they could be way on the dry side. I would add some chopped japs and some crumbled feta too, cause that's just how I roll.

i ended up just throwin em in the cast iron. turned out decent i suppose, grill would do wonders next time. i cooked it on med/high heat, not sure if that was a good move or not. it got cooked and eaten and im still alive so i guess all is well.

and yes they were bacon wrapped w/ pork fat mixed in. they were fairly juicy.

Just about anything involving deer should be cooked on high and fast to avoid it drying out

I like rare anyway-- backstrap marinated and wrapped in bacon and cooked fast and rare on the grill is great stuff

I stir fry deer fajitas-- very good

Adding a little water to hamburger meat can help-- cooks off and helps steam it

for the grill-- put them in a fajita skillet to sear them then put on grill so they don't fall thru
