Post-game interview, media guy asks about him getting injured at end of game before he went out for last time. He said he came down wrong on his ankle but he'll have the trainer work on it and he'll be okay.
It was AJ. One of the Stanford players, Taj Finger I think, fell on Abrams' ankle. AJ was limping away, and they took him out. Didn't look too serious.
A.J., D.J., J.D., T.J., P.J. ....Sorry. I realize the player said he was okay. The fact that he said he'd be seeing the trainer meant that something did happen to him.
It is A.J., and although he said he is fine, with an injury like that, you don't know until they wake up the next day and see how swollen and sore it is. Hopefully, he will be 100%.
AJ rolled his ankle, but DJ also went down kind of hard when he slipped in the second half. I hope both are 100% on Sunday, but I bet it won't be a problem. They pulled AJ for like the last 3 (I thought) so my guess is that means it is something but not really bad.
If he keeps practicing his stroke in the huge *** stadium he will probably be better sunday that he was yesterday, even with a bum ankle.
I saw AJ limp over to Tracy McGrady on the sidelines and say, "With this kind of rolled ankle, you'd be on the disabled list for 10 days, wouldn't you? Pfft!" and then walk away.
