How hard can the refs try to help the Nuggets

NBA = WWF or WWE or whatever it is these days

For the most part, the games have been decided once it gets to the playoffs. Or you have to play the perfect game to overcome the other team AND the refs.

It's not worth the frustration if you really want one team to win and they haven't been annointed.

Yea, I used to watch maybe 60 NBA regular season games a year plus the playoffs. Now I watch if the only thing on isn't better then the Brady Bunch. It's a joke. I watch maybe half a playoff game, but never the whole thing. After the Miami screw job, I quit. As long as Cuban is with the Mavs, they will never get a fair shake. He needs to sell the team. He's too tarnished no matter what he does now. He made his bed and unfortunately all the players have to lie in it with him. Bad mental picture there....

The officiating has certainly sucked, but these Mavs players need to learn to just roll with the punches. These guys are digging themselves a deeper and deeper hole as they continue to argue with the referees.

All I simply stated was that the Mavs players certainly haven't helped themselves by freaking out and getting technicals.

Yes, I played sports and I've lost games at the hands of referees' decisions. Of course it sucks, but at the end of the day you have to move on to the next game.

And no, I don't need you to back that statement up as there is no way to quantify this. I appreciate you feeling the need to be a douche about it though.

I used to say that the refs would make key calls here and there to 'stear' a game the way they wanted it. I was blasted for that assertion without facts. So now I will just say they are doing their best and they can't get all the calls right all the time.

It seems that the NBA or at least its officials are a little biased. Not to derail the tread, but as a Rockets fan, I feel your pain. Due to Ron Artest's past transgressions, he is definitely not getting the benefit of the calls (bogus flagrant foul call, bogus ejection from a game, non-flagrant foul call on Kobe's elbow to Artest). I'm afraid that if the game is somehow close tonight, the Lakers will be going to the free throw line a lot from about the mid-way point of the fourth quarter.

The NBA playoffs provides more manufactured drama than any of the soap operas or "reality" shows on TV today. It's brilliant.

Wow, the mavs got screwed by the refs. Honestly, you guys sound like sooner fans. We never lose, the refs just screw us.

Don't know if anyone on Hornfans noticed, but Game 4 was played last night and the Mavs prevailed. Shot more ft's than Nugs. Go Mavs!

Hook'em!!!

Dear Mavs,
Please obtain a video of the Celtics-Magic game from tonight and learn how to foul and not let the opponent get off a 3pt shot. It's called a bearhug.
Sincerely,
The NBA

From the ref's position, he couldn't see the play, Melo's back was to him. All he saw was Wright get next to him and throw his hands up, which is the sign for "I didn't foul him." The ref let the play go.

It was the right call. The NBA is wrong for correcting the ref in their statement.
