How does voting work?

I registered to vote a month ago. I signed up online, printed out a form, signed it and mailed it to the election office. But i haven't received anything in the mail. Are they supposed to send me a voting card? Confirmation? Do I just show up and say my name?

You should have received one of these in the mail:

you would normally receive a voter reg card like the poster above linked, but since you registered so close to the deadline, you may not.

I'm not 100% certain, but you may be able to show up at your precinct and show them your D.L. and as long as you got it in before the deadline, you should be able to vote.

you can check online to see if you're registered.

and if you're not on the list when you show up at your precinct, make sure and have them let you vote a provisional ballot.
