How do you guys clean your baseball caps?

I have 2 that I wear more than the tons of other caps I have. And they have the wear & tear to show it. I would like to clean one of them that is white since it is halfway yellow now. Any best practices you guys use? I don't want to throw it in the clothes washer as you risk breaking the bill.

Do you guys wash by hand?

Yep - agree...usually try to mount on a small mixing bowl, run the cycle, then dry in the sun - you might have to run it thru more than once if it's yellowing though...

Those hat wash plastic molds really work well especially in the dishwasher. They do a great job of keeping the shape and won't fall off like it may on a mixing bowl (which is a pretty clever idea, actually). The molds cost maybe ten bucks and I think I have seen them at Academy. It's worth it over time.

wash it in the sink with normal detergent and cold water, ball up a towel inside of it while letting it air dry

the only way my hat gets washed is when i'm in a beer shower, rainstorm, or my tube flips over in the river.

I have the cap washer thing but never use it - it sucks!

Instead, I fill a 5-gallon bucket about halfway with water and add a little detergent, and submerge my caps for 1-2 minutes. Works great.
