I haven't followed them much and don't know a whole lot about them. Surely someone has done their homework. Full report Please!!

Don't ask Tim Maitland about bunting. And our base running was pathetic last night. Hope Augie gets our boys back in the game mentally after the long ball bailed us out.

I don't think it matters. We'll end up falling behind, tying up the score in the 9th inning, and then hitting a walk-off HR in the 19th inning to win. Typical Longhorn baseball.

I don't want to hear about this team not being "in the game mentally." What they did on Saturday night and Sunday night was 90% mental. The long ball didn't bail us out. It accounted for 6 of our 14 runs last night, and that certainly wouldn't have been enough to win the game on its own.

Did you not pay any attention to our approach at the plate in the 9th inning? It would have been easy for those guys to go up there and act like the game was over and just throw away their at-bats. It would have been easy for them to act like they had to win the game with one swing, but not one of them did that. Instead, they were patient and either waited for a pitch they liked or were content with a free pass to first base. I cannot stress enough the importance of being that aware and that focused at the plate at the end of a game when the defense is tired and much more prone to making mistakes. That is the mark of a mentally strong team and a well-coached team, and that had as much (or more) to do with winning last night's game as "the long ball" did.

Augie could say "there's more to offense than hitting" a million times, and some of you still wouldn't get it.
