How Do I Learn to Drive a Boat?

I'm a Dallas indoorsman, but I'm on the water probably 10 days a year lately. Anyone know how I can learn how to do it? I'd like to take some lessons in the Dallas area if possible. I'm sure the best way is to pick it up while boating with friends during those 10 days, but is there another way?

The Power Squadron has been around forever. I was an experienced boater, and still found their classes to be terrific information. And they're VERY affordable.

TPWD gives classes also.

I can't help you but just wanted to applaud your desire to get instruction. Way too many ******** on the lakes that think they know what they're doing.
