How do Americans say specific words? (Chronicle)

There appear to be some Yankees/Californians in Central Texas who don't know how to pronounce mayonnaise.

The crawfish map is my favorite.

I know some wise guy will dispute the regionalism finding with some stupid personal anecdote...still fascinating though.

"Phoh" is prounounced "phuh" like "duh"


If you pronounce it like "faux" I will immediately know that you don't know Vietnamese or Vietnamese food.
