How did Texas not win the Softball Title

I am not a big follower of softball, but I thought the ladies were up big in conference. Now today I see an article that Missouri won the title. What happened?

Texas was undefeated in Big 12 play until near the end of the season when the Horns lose 4 of their last 6 games and finish 2nd.

Sounds like men's basketball. They hosting a good (as in not difficult) regional, so let's see if they can make it to Supers.
