Kind of surprised in 12 or so years of them being together at Texas that I apparently never (or at least very rarely) heard this mentioned. Guess they were too busy mentioning that Jordan's and Colt's dads were roommates or that Sydmil Harris spoke 5 languages - wait, wrong sport there.

Mack took them from 1-10 to 6-6 before getting hired away by North Carolina. Tulane then hired Greg Davis for the only college HC job of his career and he took them back to 1-10 again. :D
 
When a member of the committee called me from Atlanta telling me he was switching his vote because he thought MB might be the real deal, my only reply was, "Don't let him bring Greg Davis".

This same post got me kicked off HornFans for a few weeks 20 years ago.

When he was at aTm, I had the privilege of going to a game with Jim Duke, sitting in their high $$$ seats. One Aggie accused me of "stealing" their signals because I was calling their plays before they ran them. I told him that I didn't need to "steal" their plays because it was Greg Davis and he is as predictable as an Alter Call in a Southern Baptist Church on Sunday morning - book it, it's going to happen.

Starts with Butch Troy's offense, add a splash of Doug Etheridge, and adjust for years at aTm, and that's Greg.
