How Can Stop Us?

I agree this is Texas best basketball team ever IMO but they could lose a game at Neb, at Colo or at Baylor, there is a chance but Texas will be favored to win every game. They could also lose in Big 12 tournament, I can see Kansas winnng Big 12 tournament. Texas needs to stay healthy then I see No reason they cannot advance at least to the Elite Eight, one bad game though and your season is over.
 
Texas gets in a close game against a great team then I fear their free throw shooting. Injuries could stop Texas and their free throw shooting could also.
 
Once we get out of the first round of the NCAA tournament, we can't have guys with "off" games. We just don't have the depth.

Brown had another no-show game last night. It was ok because we were playing OU and had the game put away within the first 3 minutes. And all of the starters were on fire. But once the tournament comes around, the chances of all 5 starters getting meaningful looks for 40 minutes is slim.

We REALLY need to secure the right regional. And to do that, I doubt we could lose more than 1 game the rest of the season. I think we could have a perfect storm of hostile crowd combined with a cold streak for Hamilton and a hot streak for some role player (like Vucevic had against us for USC), and we'd be out in the Sweet 16.

But that's the worst-case scenario. I think we'll face little opposition until that 3rd round of the NCAA tourney, and even then, San Antonio will be home games for us. I have a better feeling about winning it all this year than I did in 2003, and I think the 2003 team was more complete overall.
 
Winning it all has a lot to do with the team's draw. We will have a better idea of how far this team can go when the official brackets come out.

That said, I feel very good about this team. FT% aside, this team plays D and can score inside and outside.

I'm very concerned about the JB x factor. His spark off the bench and free throw shooting are absolutely crucial IMO if we're going to win a championship, and if he's not mentally on board with this come tournament time, that's a big problem.
 
Exactly what Prodigal said. We are basically a 5-man team if Brown's off his game. While it would be great to count on Hill/Wangmene to throw some people around, you can't rely on that alone to win. And Lucas remains the non-factor, despite his hard work in the offseason.
 
We actually didn't play very well last night (at OU), in my worthless opinion.
But that tells you how good this team really is.
Man, we have a good shot of winning it all.
