How can I find out my blood type?

According to my medical insurance, my "doctor" is one of the doctors at Austin Regional Clinic South. I haven't seen this guy in about 2 years (haven't needed to) but I have seen him a few times. Would they have my records? I am trying to find out my blood type and I am not 100% certain what it is. Would that be on my records?

I am planning on donating on Friday this week at work. Will by my 1st time to donate blood. But we are due in mid March and if anything goes bad, I believe I can donate blood to make up for any blood that we need. So I am having 2nd thoughts about donating blood this week in case I need blood later on.

At this point I think I am going to donate and find out. I hope nothing bad happens.

They can give you a voucher at the time of donation that equates the cost of a pint at the hospital (there's a longer explanation I won't go into). Just let them know when you give.

No matter your blood type, they won't do a direct transfusion from you to your wife even if she needs it.

Good luck with the delivery.

this valentine's day go to donate blood. blood and tissue is doing some big thing saturday
