Houston Regional Attendance

Just heard there are 11,000 tickets remaining. Will this really make a difference, given the size of the venue? Even with 11,000 available, doesn't that mean that over 30,000 have been sold?

My optimistic guess is that most, if not all, of the remaining ticketmaster tickets will be sold.

My theory is that Texas fans already have a great majority of the sold tickets. Those that don't are trying to get better tickets right now instead of what is available. Once the ebay, stubhub, craigslist, etc tickets start to dry up, the ticketmaster tickets will sell.

And, if not, I don't think having the 600 level basically empty will take much away from the atmosphere. As long as the lower half of the stadium is full of Texas fans, the place will be plenty loud.

And, btw, I have my tickets in the lower level already.

Was at Reliant for the rodeo this weekend... actually went twice this year. Once for John Legend (sat in 100s) and once for Brooks and Dunn (600s). One would think that the legendary brooks and dunn would draw a LOT more noise... but the 600s are basically irrelevant. With lower level seats going quickly... I bought mine on ebay and had to refresh twice because the seats i was using 'buy it now' feature on disappeared as i clicked.... where was i going with this??? Oh yes, with seats going quickly I'm sure this will feel like a home game. You can add two longhorn alumn to the list of attendees... Section 129!

And I'm seriously disappointed that seats are still available. Texas fans should have scooped all of these up by now. Even the crappy ones. None of this BS about sightlines and views. The Horns have a chance to make the Final Four for crissakes; Represent, people.

I just got two tickets (both sessions) in section 506 for $125 a piece on eBay. All the tickets in the lower level and club were way behind the basket and more money then I was willing to spend (I'm a poor college student). I wanted to sit court side and will be doing so, except I will have a birds eye view.

I'm in Section 105 but up a bit. Paid over face but well worth it to see us in the Sweet 16!! I was at the Final Four in 2003 and I plan on going to SA this year to see us win it all!!

How are people getting tickets in the LL for face still? Or are you referring to what you got a while ago or through the LHF.

the face in the lower level were bought months ago or through the foundation, at least for the past month they've been well above face on stubhub

I just got mine this weekend for $300 for 2 good LL tickets.

I simply got VERY lucky, some guy won them in a contest and didnt know what they were worth. Got them on ebay.

But I was obsessed with finding tickets...I literally checked craigslist every 30 minutes for like 2 days looking for a deal. And went through almost every auction on ebay a couple of times a day. This one was a very plain auction.

The title was "2 Houston Regional NCAA Tickets". It had little attention to it and no bids, I sent the guy an email offering $300. He said heck yes, and invoiced me through paypal right away.

I have two seats in sec 102 row Q. I hope these are good seats. They are LL but still seam far away. Face value is $312 you can add ticketmaster fees and s&h. I bought mine on ebay for $375. I thought this was a deal since ticket master is selling seats in the 600 section for $312 right now. The demand doesn't seem too high. I'm sure I could have paid less, but I have vowed to never go through what I went through at the rose bowl. Instead of worrying about getting tickets I have them in hand!
